On November 23, 2009 the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with StorkCraft Manufacturing Inc., of British Columbia, Canada, announced a voluntary recall of more than 2.1 million Stork Craft cribs. No cribs manufactured by Child Craft, Legacy, or Foundations Children’s Products were subject to this recall.  Child Craft, Legacy, and Foundations have produced safe and durable drop-side cribs for many years and select models of Foundations commercial cribs continue to be offered with drop sides. All Child Craft, Legacy, and Foundations cribs, including those with drop sides, meet all applicable crib safetystandards published by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC), and are certified by the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA).  Owners of Foundations, Child Craft and Legacy drop-side cribs can continue to use them with the full confidence that they are safe and durable. It is imperative that owners of these products do not attempt to modify them in any way in an attempt to disable the drop-side function. Additionally, all cribs, regardless of make or model, should be inspected regularly to insure that they are not damaged and do not have any loose, broken, or missing parts.
